For the third time, the world\u2019s top giant slalom specialists will compete on the Flying Mile trail as part of two Audi FIS Ski World Cup races taking place over the same weekend.<\/p>\n

The official list of participating athletes will be announced closer to the event, but fans can expect to see several of the sport\u2019s top international athletes compete, including Mont-Tremblant\u2019s own Val\u00e9rie Grenier<\/strong>, delivered an impressive season last winter, including a podium on home soil. Several of her Canadian teammates, will also be on the start list, along with American Mikaela Shiffrin<\/strong>. Last year\u2019s Tremblant race winners, Austria\u2019s Julia Scheib<\/strong> and New Zealand\u2019s Alice Robinson<\/strong>, are expected to return to defend their titles.<\/p>\n

\u201cSnowmaking optimization projects implemented over the past several years have once again proven their value. They played an important role in delivering a world-class race surface for last year\u2019s event and will help ensure that Tremblant is in the strongest possible position heading into this December\u2019s races. Preparations are well underway, with the operation team focused on building and maintaining the right conditions for competition. An Electrifying Atmosphere at the Foot of the Mountain<\/h2>\n

Beyond the competition, the PwC Tremblant World Cup weekend promises a true World Cup experience, with entertainment and excitement from morning to night.<\/p>\n

A major new addition this year, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse<\/strong> will join the festivities, bringing the excitement and intensity of the races to life for spectators. Alongside host Randy Ferguson, she will provide live commentary throughout the competition, helping create an atmosphere every bit as energetic as the action on the slopes. Her presence will add a unique dimension to the event, giving fans the chance to experience every turn, pass and finish as the action unfolds.<\/p>\n

To make the spectator experience even more memorable, the PwC Fan Zone will feature tiered seating, offering an excellent vantage point of the course. A second giant screen will also ensure fans don\u2019t miss a moment of the action, with different views of the race from start to finish.<\/p>\n

One thing is certain: this year, spectators won\u2019t just have a front-row seat to the World Cup \u2014 they\u2019ll be right at the heart of the action.<\/p>\n

Friday, December 4<\/h2>\n

The festivities will kick off on Friday afternoon, with select shops hosting athlete appearances and autograph sessions, giving fans the opportunity to meet some of the stars of the World Cup up close.<\/p>\n

That evening, DJ Bubu will set the tone for the weekend with a lively performance on Place Saint-Bernard. Saturday, December 5<\/h2>\n

The World Cup Expo Area will be open throughout the weekend, offering entertainment, a festive World Cup-themed setting and activities for fans of all ages.<\/p>\n

At 11 a.m., nearly 70 athletes will take to the start for the first run of the giant slalom. The top 30 will advance to the second run, scheduled for 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

Starting at 4 p.m., the action will move to the lower village, where DJ Marc Rootz will take over the Coca-Cola Stage at Place des Voyageurs, setting the tone ahead of the medal ceremony at 6:15 p.m. The ceremony will be followed by the bib draw for Sunday\u2019s race.<\/p>\n

At 7 p.m., Montreal singer-songwriter and producer Mike Clay<\/strong> will take the stage for a DJ set. Known for his energetic sound and crowd-pleasing performances, he will keep the momentum going with a mix of rap, pop and funk influences.<\/p>\n

Sunday, December 6<\/h2>\n

The second race day will get underway at 10:30 a.m. with the first run of the giant slalom, followed by the second run at 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Hosts will keep spectators engaged throughout the competition as the athletes battle once again for a place on the podium. The medal ceremony will take place directly in the finish area at the foot of the course immediately following the race.<\/p>\n

The day will wrap up in the village\u2019s bars and restaurants, bringing the weekend to a close in the festive atmosphere that has become synonymous with the World Cup at
