The 2025 PwC Tremblant World Cup race is officially a go! Following today’s snow control, the Local Organizing Comittee (LOC) and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) have given the green light for the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Women’s Giant Slalom races at Tremblant December 6 and 7, 2025.
“There is sufficient snow to stage a race safely and therefore to hold both giant slalom races on the Flying Mile track on December 6 & 7,” declared Peter Gerdol, FIS Alpine Skiing Women’s Chief Race Director.
“I am extremely proud of the work accomplished by the Tremblant team and our volunteers, who have worked tirelessly to prepare the course for the PwC Tremblant World Cup,” said Nicholas Cogger, Event Director.
“We implemented improvements to the terrain and snowmaking capacity in the fall that are working, and we are thrilled to have the green light for next weekend’s races. The venue is ready to welcome the public, and the finish area has been optimized to provide an expanded view, no matter where you stand at the bottom of the racecourse.”
“We are thrilled to be back in Tremblant,” said Therese Brisson, President and CEO of Alpine Canada. “I know this year’s edition will build on the momentum of the remarkable first one. The collaboration with the Tremblant community has been exceptional, and we all share the same goal: to deliver a world-class racing event for Canadians and fans, promote the growth of the sport, ensure a commercially and environmentally sustainable approach, and leave a lasting legacy for both the sport and the community.”
Canadian women scheduled to race at Tremblant are Britt Richardson (Canmore, AB), Cassidy Gray (Panorama, BC), Justine Lamontagne (St-Ferréol-les-Neiges, QC) and local’s favorite, Valérie Grenier (St. Isidore, ON). As the host country, Canada is entitled to two additional entries for these events, and the Canadian athletes selected to participate are Kendra Giesbrecht (St. Albert, AB) and Arianne Forget (Prévost, QC).
